Tom Ford lips and boys collection
I had a wonderful afternoon sampling the Lips and Boys luxurious lipstick line. Tom Ford lipsticks have always been a favorite of mine, so you can imagine my excitement when I heard that they were launching 50 new shades at once. The reason people fall in love with Tom Fords lipsticks is the texture. It’s difficult to explain until you’ve tried it. They are super creamy, long lasting and just seem to love your lips! The all time favorite is Casablanca, a reddened plum with a cream finish, that will suit almost any skin colour. It usually becomes a staple in the makeup collection of anyone who’s tried it.
The Lips and Boys collection is a limited edition range that is clutch-sized, as Tom Ford has called it, to fit perfectly into our smaller bags. These days we are trying to squeeze a phone, money, keys and a lipstick into our little clutch bags which is why the size of these lipsticks are so ideal. He named each one after men from his past and present! It was such a fun and innovative idea that was made perfect when the colours turned out to be so gorgeous.
The colours are grouped into an impressive 10 families, so there is something to suit everyone. From perky pinks to quirky corals, you’re bound to find a shade that you love. I also had fun with the metallic range which included very shimmery golds, bronzes and greys. These colours, typically seen as eyeshadows, would be loved by those who are a bit more daring and would like to try out a glamorous catwalk look.
I brought home these boys.
Alejandro : a rich mix between a pink and red with a touch of shimmer
Omar : a glamorous gold/bronze tone to achieve Jlos signature look
Blake: a brown with a touch of glimmer
Richard: a pinky nude that everyone needs in their collection.
I definitely recommend you check these out. Every girl needs at least one Tom Ford in her collection. They are available in Dubai at Bloomingdales or online, not yet in SA. I am definitely heading back tomorrow for more!! This is the one time I can say that I’d like to bring all 50 boys home 😉
